The Site Supervisors’ Safety Training Scheme (SSSTS) provides a wonderful knowledge base for new supervisors who are soon to be put in charge of construction sites. The role brings a myriad of additional responsibilities to be aware of and regulations to comply with. The two day course explores these and provides invaluable information.

The Site Safety Plus certificate that people earn when they complete the SSSTS training is valid for five years. The expiry date should be clear on the document. To retain the qualification a refresher course must be taken before it has elapsed. It is better to take the one day refresher course than let the certificate expire and have to complete the two day training again.

There is one big advantage of having each SSSTS certificate holder complete periodic training to keep the qualification valid. The requirement means they can learn about changes that have occurred in the five years since they became qualified. In this way their knowledge will remain up to date and they can manage sites to the correct standards.

Typically the biggest changes that occur in terms of site responsibilities come in terms of health and safety legislation. It can change relatively quickly to ensure that everybody working on construction sites is protected. With the knowledge obtained during the training course supervisors will understand their obligations and how to adhere to them.

At PIP Services LTD we are proud to offer the CITB SSSTS course and refresher sessions, inviting candidates from across London to participate. We deliver the very highest standards of training, ensuring that each course is delivered by a highly trained member of our team. As a result the sessions reflect the prestige and importance of the qualification.

If you have any queries about the course, qualification, or us as a provider please get in touch. We will be happy to advise you and share our knowledge. Our decade plus of experience and the fact we offer several additional courses really makes us stand out.
