- Legal requirements for a risk assessment
- Understanding why risk assessments are necessary for maintaining and improving standards of health and safety at work
- Understanding the principles of risk assessment including; hazards, risks and control measures, the five steps of risk assessment, the hierarchy of control, risk assessment review and record keeping

This qualification is assessed through a multiple-choice question examination.
