Level 2 Award in Mental Health First Aid Awareness MHAC

This qualification is appropriate for individuals working in all sectors and aims to develop knowledge and understanding of mental health issues. It will give individuals a depth of understanding of mental health and help them to spot the triggers and signs of a range of mental health issues and give them confidence to step in, reassure and support a person in distress.


Level 2 Emergency First Aid at Work (EFAW)

Learners gaining this qualification will know that First Aid is the responsibility of everyone involved in the working environment. It is to teach candidates to act as an appointed person to take charge of the first aid arrangements, including looking after the equipment and facilities and calling the Emergency Medical Services when required.


Level 2 Award in First Aid Defibrillation (AED)
Candidates gaining this qualification will know that Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation and Automated External Defibrillation (AED) form an essential part of the chain of survival. This qualification is recommended as training for first aiders in the workplace environment who have access to a defibrillator.


Level 3 Award in Paediatric First Aid (PFAQ) Certificate

This qualification is aimed at those who wish to become a Paediatric First Aider in the workplace, parents and people who work with children in the absence of their parents with a responsibility for the welfare of infants and children. The course aims to give the candidate knowledge and assess them on their ability to deal with emergency situations, how to recognise and respond to serious medical conditions and serious injuries.


Level 3 Award in First Aid at Work (FAW)

The aim of the First Aid at Work qualification is to enable a candidate to be able to act as a First Aid person to take charge of emergency situations, including both Primary and Secondary Survey, preventing the condition from worsening and promoting recovery. It is ideal for those candidates already working or preparing to work within industry to become a First Aider in the workplace for the purposes of the Health & Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981.


Level 3 First Aid & Defibrillation Teacher/Examiner Training Course

This is combined with the Level 3 Education & Training course.  The aims and objectives of the First Aid at Work Teacher/Examiner course is to equip candidates with the skills and knowledge to teach and examine First Aid for the following courses:

  • First Aid at Work Qualification
  • First Aid at Work Re-Qualification
  • Level 2 Award in Emergency First Aid at Work
  • Level 2 Award in Paediatric First Aid
  • Level 2 Award in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation and Automated External Defibrillation (AED)
