Course Summary
The HABC Level 3 Award in Education and Training (QCF) has been accredited by the regulators of England and Wales (Ofqual and the Welsh Government) and is part of the Qualifications and Credit Framework (QCF).

It has been designed to provide an introduction to teaching for individuals who would like to work or currently work within FE Colleges, Independent Training Providers and/or Local Authority. Learners gather knowledge about the role and responsibilities of a teacher, developing skills which will enable them to plan, deliver and evaluate basic teaching and learning sessions.
It is suitable for individuals who do not currently teach, those who do teach or train, and for assessors who wish to achieve an introduction to teaching.
Pre-requisites
Learners are required to be a minimum of 19 years of age.

48 guided learning hours – if none of the learning and development units are selected.
61 guided learning hours – if the units are selected.
Course Information

Assessment
The qualification is assessed through the completion of a learner portfolio of evidence. This portfolio of evidence should demonstrate learner knowledge, understanding and application of teaching practices.
